ABOUT THE FIRM

Pelaghias LLC is founded on the 1952 practice of the late Ambassador George Chr. Pelaghias. In 2010, the firm was reorganized into a Lawyer’s limited liability company under Cyprus Law.

The firm is associated with the law firm Pelaghias Christodoulou & Vrachas LLC, successor to the 1920 practice of John G. Pelaghias, one of the very early law offices in Cyprus.

The firm has an extensive international practice, and has a long history of assisting clients in complex transactions. Pelaghias LLC co-operates with major international law firms in the U.S., Europe and Russia.

In 1986, the firm established the Seaward group of companies in order to meet the increasing demand for international corporate, and tax consultancy services for its clients. The group is fully licenced Administrative Service Providers, regulated by the Cyprus Bar Association.

Today, the combined structure of Pelaghias LLC and Seaward, provide U.S. and European based fortune 500 companies with services of both legal and administrative nature, including multi-jurisdictional company formation, corporate management and administration, international tax planning, corporate finance, corporate re-domiciliation, international trust set-up, and fiduciary services.

Members of Pelaghias LLC and Seaward belong to the New York State Bar Association; New York City Bar Association; the Cyprus Bar Association; the Swedish Bar Association; the American Bar Association; the International Bar Association; the Maritime Law Association of the United States; the International Fiscal Association; the International Tax Planning Association; the International Business Law Consortium; and the Association of Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialists.

As part of its international practice, the firm’s legal team is conversant in Greek, English, Russian, Swedish, and French.
